Gethsemane Heights is a unique sub-division on the upper reaches of Clifton Hill, Sumner, Christchurch.

Owned by Ken and Bev Loader since the 1950s, Gethsemane Gardens opened in 1999. Prior to that the site was a market garden and plant nursery. A wedding function venue in the shape of an Ark was constructed in 2006. This is no longer a wedding venue and is now a residence.

Stage one of the sub-division was 14 sections which have all been sold. A further 12 sections are now on the market in the second, and final stage of the developement. Like stage one, they offer some of the most stunning vistas available anywhere in Christchurch, if not New Zealand.

Lot 12 has 830sqm of Living Hills land and 6139sqm of rural land. Lot 4 is the site of the Ark. It is a large construction with approximately 750sqm of internal space over 3 levels. It also has 2 bars and 2 commercial size kitchens. Both of these Lots will be sold by auction in late February 2025.

A mixture of gentle sloping and flat sections will assist in reducing, what can be, expensive hillside excavation costs.
